The Beginner's
Cleanse and Face Mask Treatment offers
an excellent introduction to facial
work.
Candidates will be able to undertake
a full consultation with clients
and will learn the importance of
understanding contra-indications and
contra-actions.
Candidates will be introduced to
the importance of skin analysis,
skin types and conditions in order
to prescribe an appropriate and effective
course of treatments.
The course covers the methods of
application of facial cleanser, skin
toner, masque and moisturiser, which
will be demonstrated by the tutor. A
practical session will take place
in the afternoon where students will
perform facials on one another to
put into practice the skills they
have acquired. |

This course
is ideal for anyone who would like
to improve his or her existing skills
to carry out one hour's facial.
As well as a basic cleanse, tone
and moisturise, the advanced facial
also includes a 20 minute facial
massage, including work on the shoulder
and neck area to relieve stress and
tension.
Candidates will get the chance to
practise their skills in the afternoon
session by giving and receiving a
full advanced facial treatment, including
a specialised masque to suit their
own skin type. |

Candidates will learn
how to do a consultation.
Candidates will learn how to apply professionally
both a basic day and evening makeup and also
how to offer a makeup lesson to the customer.
Candidates will learn how to plan & perform
a makeup using commercial timing, taking into
account different skin types and age range, choice
of colour, and skin care. Candidates will
understand the importance of applying a perfect
base foundation in order to provide a canvas
on which to contour and add colour.
Candidates will be able to use salon products
for this course. However, if anyone is
allergic to particular products you will need to bring
your own makeup and skin care supplies. |

eyebrow shaping, eyelash and eyebrow tinting. Candidates
will learn the importance of patch testing prior
to treatment and relevant aftercare advice for

Candidates will learn about contra-indications and contra-actions including
how to recognise some nail diseases, irregularities and their causes.
Candidates will have the opportunity to practice their new skills on one
another in the afternoon session. |

treatment for different areas of the body, eg. legs, arms, underarms, eyebrows,
upper lip, chin and bikini line.
Students will learn about contra-indications and contra-actions and homecare
advice.
The course will not cover hot wax treatment but the students will have
all the necessary input in the course manual. |
