| Description: |
On the first day students will learn
how to perform Indian Head Massage, which covers back, shoulders,
head, neck and face. Also they will learn how to open and close
the chakras. This treatment will be performed over the clothes
and participants will be able to practise on one another in the
afternoon session.
Students will learn about contra-indications
and contra-actions.
Students will also learn which oils are suitable
for this treatment and the massage movements involved, concentrating
on the back, upper arm, neck, scalp, face and ears.
On the second
day the students will learn the ritual of performing the treatment
with oils, to localise the main marma points, to cleanse chacras
through colour visualisation etc. |

| Description: |
This course will teach students how to
perform a full body massage in commercial time (one hour).
On
the first day of the course students will learn the importance
of full client consultation, how to perform massage techniques
on the front of the body. The massage movements required and
how to adjust the massage pressure to suit the client.
The second
day will address massaging the back of the body and performing
a full consultation, including contra-indications and contra-actions.
The third day the students will be required to perform a full
treatment on one another within one hour in order to prove competency.
(formative assessment).
The students will learn the psychological
and physiological effects of massage and the use of different
medium. |

| Description: |
Aromatherapy is the art
of using pure essential oils to improve health
and well-being. Gentle rhythmic movements combined with beautifully
fragrant oils are a powerful way to benefit mind and body.
There are many other ways to use essential oils and all these will be
detailed in the course manual.
The students will learn how to perform
a full aromatherapy treatment by using the blended oils provided. They
will also learn the importance of the main aromatherapy oils eg. to relieve
stress, muscle aches etc.
On the first day students will learn how to
perform a treatment on the back of the body and undertake a consultation
process.
On day two, students will learn how to perform a treatment on
the front of the body and how to perform the full treatment within commercial
timings. |

| Description: |
Students will learn the
ancient non-invasive treatment of reflexology,
which works along the same principles as acupuncture.
Students will learn to use anatomical knowledge
combined with skilful hand work to activate the
body's healing powers. These work on the principles of energy zones running
through the body to correspond reflexes in the feet.
On the second day
students will be required to perform a full reflexology treatment within
commercial timings. |

| Description: |
This treatment will be performed using Basalt
stones. The reason these stones are used is because research discovered
these stones retain heat most effectively.
Students will learn the history
and origin of Stone treatment, how to perform the treatment, how to undertake
a full consultation including contra-indications and contra-actions,
how to open and close the chakras, and providing aftercare advice.
All
relevant information will be contained within the course manual. |
